Overview
Tata Memorial Hospital is India's oldest and most prestigious cancer centre, established in 1941 by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. Located in Parel, Mumbai, it is a grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
With 700+ beds, 25+ specialised oncology departments, and treatment of 70,000+ new patients annually, Tata Memorial is among the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the world. It houses advanced linear accelerators, CyberKnife, PET-CT, and bone marrow transplant facilities.
The hospital is a WHO Collaborating Centre for Cancer and conducts cutting-edge clinical trials in association with global oncology networks. Its training programme produces the majority of India's surgical and medical oncologists.
